The session, themed “IP and Dispute Resolution in the Digital Era: Embracing Challenges and Seizing Opportunities in E-commerce”, was moderated by Dr Alex Lau, Chairman of the SME Global Alliance Intellectual Property Committee and Partner at Hong Kong Intellectual Property Advisory Service Limited.

In her speech on “Navigating IP Disputes and Legal Issues in the Age of E-commerce”, Stephanie explored the interplay between IP rights and E-commerce, highlighting common pitfalls and potential IP infringement risks associated with the use of e-commerce platforms. Drawing from relevant case studies, Stephanie also provided an analysis on strategies for addressing and resolving E-commerce-related IP issues.

This was followed by an interactive panel discussion among the speakers addressing questions from the floor. The panel explored issues ranging from blocking injunctions to big data.

The session was well-received and provided valuable insights for legal and business professionals into the evolving relationship between intellectual property and E-commerce.
