Terri completed her pupillage with Derek Chan SC, Christopher Chain, Connie Lee and Jason Yu.  She also served as a Court Martial in the Family Court for Her Honour Judge Melloy and extended her pupillage with Thelma Kwan, before joining DVC as a tenant in 2021.

She is a graduate of the University of Cambridge where she obtained her BA in law and her LL.M. with First Class Honours in all subjects.

Terri has appeared in Court as sole advocate for insolvency and commercial matters, and as junior counsel. She accepts instructions in all areas of Chamber’s work, with experience in property disputes, trusts, intellectual property,  commercial disputes, company and insolvency law, and family law.

  • Enforcement of a mortgage on behalf of the lender with issues relating to the Money Lenders Ordinance (led by Michael Lok) (ongoing)

Property, Building Management and Trusts

  • Acting on behalf of the Incorporated Owners in relation to a dispute between co-owners of a building (led by Teresa Wu) (ongoing)
  • Assisted on behalf of the Building Authority for the enforcement of a notice for repairs in the Buildings Appeals Tribunal (ongoing)
  • Assisted in a JR challenge in the Court of Appeal against the enforcement of a demolition order (as pupil, with Patrick Chong)

Family Law

  • Assisted in a 10-day trial on ancillary relief with complex corporate structures, and issues on pre-marital assets and wanton and reckless dissipation (as pupil, with Ms. Thelma Kwan, who was led by Bernard Man SC)
  • Assisted in a trial on the care and control of a young child (as pupil, with Mairéad Rattigan)
  • Assisted in a trial on the variation of care and control with issues on parental alienation (as pupil, with Mairéad Rattigan)

Interlocutory Applications

  • Acted on behalf of the Defendant in a summary judgment application (as sole advocate)
  • Successfully obtained ex parte Mareva and proprietary injunctions with disclosure orders against the bank, on behalf of an overseas bank (as sole advocate)
  • Assisted in resisting an interlocutory injunction seeking to enforce a non-compete clause (as pupil)


  • Acted on behalf of the Defendants in a personal injuries trial in the CFI (led by Patrick Chong)
  • Acted on behalf of the respondent in a domain name dispute in the ADNDRC (led by Patrick Chong)
